Dr. Andrew Moskowitz is the Director of the Forensic Psychology MA Program. He is a trauma, dissociation and attachment specialist who was trained and certified as a Designated Forensic Professional (for psychologists and psychiatrists) in Massachusetts in the 1990s. As a clinical and forensic psychologist, he has worked in prison, trauma and mental health systems in Massachusetts, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and was a lecturer in correctional psychology at the University of Auckland from 1999 to 2005. He held the title of Senior Lecturer in Trauma Psychology at the University of Aberdeen from 2005 to 2010 and, since then, Professor of Psychology at Aarhus University in Denmark, and Touro University Berlin in Germany. Through his publications and presentations, he has become well known as an expert on the relationship between trauma, dissociation and violence, and on understanding psychotic symptoms and disorders from a trauma, dissociation and attachment perspective.
