Dr. Michele Godwin is a licensed Clinical and Forensic psychologist in both the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia. She obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Child Clinical Psychology in August 2003 from Auburn University (Auburn, Alabama). She previously held multiple positions at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital for 17 years working with individuals with severe mental illnesses and personality disorders who were justice-involved. Dr. Godwin currently works as a psychologist with the Department of Defense conducting psychological evaluations. She also works in private practice conducting forensic evaluations (e.g., risk assessment, conditional release evaluations, competency to stand trial and mental state at the time of the offense, etc.). Dr. Godwin has been an Adjunct Professor in forensic psychology at the Master's level in Forensic Psychology intermittently since 2007.
